Gratitude / We Believe

Hi Church Family,

I am giving thanks to the Lord today, for He is good. His steadfast love endures forever! (a reference to Psalm 136, and so many other places in God’s Word)

At the tail-end of this Thanksgiving week, I am feeling especially thankful for…well…YOU. I am thankful that I get to serve as your pastor. I am thankful that our kids get to grow up in this church family. I am thankful that we, GCN, are not just a collection of loosely-connected individuals, but we are a family on a unique mission of God right where we’ve been planted. I am grateful that I get to serve alongside fantastic pastors like Lauren Miller, Kevin Liddle, and Karen Van Gilder. I am grateful for the scores of wonderful volunteer leaders who give and serve and love.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above…”, so thank God for life, and breath, and relationships, and salvation. If you haven’t already so this week, take a few moments to write out your gratitude. Even if it’s only 3 things, take time to be grateful. Bonus: Turn that gratitude journaling into a time of prayer. Thank God for every gift.
