Weekly Update

Holy Spirit, make me hungry.

That was one of the prayers that we were encouraged to pray this past Sunday. I am praying for us, as a church, to have an increased hunger for seeing those who are far from Christ be drawn very near to Christ. Who do you know who is in a wilderness time right now? How can you meet them in the middle of their wilderness and point them to the way of Jesus? Show them love. Extend grace. Share the gospel.

The EASTER EGG HUNT is on April 20th, Easter Sunday morning at 9am. Why do we do this on Easter Sunday (instead of, say, a Saturday morning)? It’s because we want to invite families who do not have a church home into our church family. The past 2 Easters we saw over 100 kids (plus their families) come to this Easter Egg Hunt. Many of those stayed for our 10:30am GCN Kids program and our Worship Celebration. So, by serving at our Kids Easter Egg Hunt, you are on the frontlines of loving our neighborhood and sharing the good news of Jesus with people who might especially need to experience His love and grace. A few other things to know:

1. Pastors Ben and Kelly Spitler will be honored at our upcoming District Mission Advance (District Assembly). They will be receiving Retirement Status in the Church of the Nazarene. They will be recognized on Sunday evening, April 6th, during the 6:30pm Worship Service. The Worship Service will be at Hilton Baltimore BWI Hotel Banquet Hall (1739 W. Nursery Road, Linthicum, MD). All are invited!
2. Let us know if you want to be BAPTIZED. Have you begun a relationship with Jesus? Then be baptized! Baptism is an outward sign of what Christ has done on the inside. When you go down into the waters of baptism, it’s a sign that we have died to ourselves. When you come up out of the waters, it’s a sign that you are alive in Christ! Fill out the Connect Card and select “I’m interested in baptism”.
3. Embrace Grace Baby Shower / Purchasing Gifts. Show some moms some love by purchasing gifts. Click here for the registry. And click here to register to be a part of the Baby Shower.
4. The Parent Collective lunch. THIS Sunday, March 30th, just after the morning worship service. If you are the parent of a child, ages 0-18, you’ll want to be a part of this! It’s a free lunch, but REGISTER HERE so we know you’re coming.
5. Women’s Retreat. April 12-13. For women of all ages! Last day to register is March 28th (this Friday)! Click here to register.
