Weekly Update

Hi GCN Family,
 
Have you dropped your nets (your worry, your preoccupation with other distractions, your devotion to other things) and followed Jesus? That was the message from Pastor Kevin this past Sunday. Our neighborhood is desperate for us to be a church filled with people who have dropped our other loyalties and are following Jesus. 
 
Would you take a moment and register for the INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING DAY on Saturday, February 22nd from 1-4pm. CLICK HERE for all the info and the link to register. Bottom line: We are called to be disciples who make disciples. I hope you can prioritize this and be there.
 
I want to throw out a few other things coming up…

• This Sunday, we wrap our series, The Jesus Way. More than a series, this is a call to – with our whole lives – follow Jesus. Go ahead and check out John 2 if you want to get a little head start on this Sunday.
• February 9, 16, and 23 we have a special treat! GCN will be a part of a 4-way pastor circuit. Pastor Eric Valenstein (from Impact Church in Sykesville, MD) will be with us on February 9. Pastor Brian Remsch (from Restoration Church in Frederick, MD) will be with us on February 16. And Pastor Shane Valenstein (from City on a Hill Church in Savage, MD) will be with us on February 23. We’re calling the series, Overcoming. We’ll be looking at how God, by His Spirit, helps us overcome Fear, Failure, Doubt, and Hurt. You won’t want to miss a Sunday in February!
