Weekly Update

Hi GCN Family,

Have you audited your thoughts this week? That was one of the encouragements from this past Sunday. How many of your thoughts are negative, either towards yourself or others? What percentage of your thoughts are spent comparing yourself to others? How much energy is spent worrying about your family or the future? Apostle Paul says to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5) With the help of the Holy Spirit, may that be us.

We kicked off the Lenten season and a new series: Wilderness. I’m praying and believing that the Holy Spirit will use this season – on the way to the cross of Good Friday and the Empty Tomb of Resurrection Sunday – to fill us and to shape us into Christlikeness. 7 Ways to Jump In @ GCN:

1. Easter Kids Event – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. On Easter Sunday, April 20th, we’ll have a wonderful Kids Program and Easter Egg Hunt at 9:00-10:00am. Here’s the deal: This is an all-church effort. So, we need your help. Teens, 20-somethings, middle-agers, prime-timers. Everyone! If you are interested in serving as a volunteer that morning, please CLICK HERE to sign up as a volunteer. Then, a Kids Ministry worker will be in touch with you soon. Be praying over that event.
2. Parent Collective. Sunday, March 30th immediately following the worship service. This is a lunch for all parents of kids, ages 0-18. Parenting is a challenge, but a community of parents is a gift! You were not meant to walk alone. If you are a parent of a child, you will not want to miss this. CLICK HERE to find out more and to register.
3. Honduras Mission Trip. If you are interested in being a part of the Mission Trip to Honduras this late June/early July, reach out to Pastor Kevin ASAP. Even if you just have some questions and are intrigued, reach out. You can either email pastorkevin@gburgnaz.org or CLICK HERE to fill out the interest form.
4. All-church lunch. Next Sunday, March 23rd. Following the 10:30am worship service. This is a great day to invite someone to join you. And if you’re relatively new to the GCN family, this is a great time to build some new relationships! Plus, it’s just always good to eat together.
5. Interested in Baptism? If you are a follower of Jesus but have not yet been baptized, let us know! Easter Sunday (April 20th) is Baptism Sunday at GCN. CLICK HERE and select “I’m interested in baptism” to let us know. Then, one of our pastors will follow up with you.
6. Embrace Grace Baby Shower. Friday April 4th. Consider being a blessing to the new moms who are a part of the Embrace Grace Ministry right now. You can CLICK HERE to see the online registry and purchase gifts. Thank you!
7. Women’s Retreat Sign up. April 12-13. If you are a woman, of any age, this retreat is for you. Deadline to register is March 28th, so act fast! Click here to register.
