Weekly Update
Hi GCN Family,
Have you been enjoying our sermon series in Revelation?
In Revelation chapter 4, we find the living creatures praising God both day and night saying:
“Holy, holy holy
is the Lord God Almighty,
who was, and is, and is to come.”
Their constant praise reminds us that worship isn’t just a Sunday activity, but rather it is the continual posture of heaven. The focus here, though, is not on the continual worship of the living creatures. The focus is on the One on the throne… the One who was… who is… and who is to come.
“Who was” reminds us that God has always been faithful. From creation to the cross, His presence and purpose have never wavered.
“Who is” speaks to our present- God is with us right now, in every joy and struggle. He is still faithful.
“Who is to come” points us forward with hope. He is not done; His promises will be fulfilled, and His Kingdom will fully come. God will continue to be faithful.
No matter what season you find yourself in today, you can rest in the truth that God is faithful yesterday, today and tomorrow!
We hope you can join us for our worship service on Sunday! Pastor Karen will be continuing in our Revelation series, so you won’t want to miss it! Plus, we will also get to hear from Pastor Lauren and some of our students about what God did at the Teen Spring Retreat a couple of weekends ago!
Things coming up…
You are loved,
Pastor Kevin
