Weekly Update

Hi GCN Family,

I hope you’ll join us this evening at 6:30pm at GCN for an Ash Wednesday Night of Prayer.

The journey to the cross of Good Friday and the Empty Tomb of Resurrection Sunday begins today. In reality, we are always on that journey. Today, however, we are specifically invited to remember that life is brief. Along with Moses in Psalm 90, we ask God to “teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Also, we remember that, because of the cross of Jesus Christ, death has been defeated. So, we don’t need to fear anything, not even our own mortality.

Tonight, we’ll worship together, pray together, and open God’s Word together. Our biggest prayer this Lenten season, as a church, is this: Holy Spirit, move in our midst and in our lives, and break our hearts for what breaks the heart of Jesus. Fill us with empathy for those around us and embolden us with passion for sharing your gospel message with people in our lives who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus. All for your glory. Amen.

A couple other things:
  1. Honduras Mission Trip. If you are at all interested in being a part of the Mission Trip to Honduras this late June/early July, reach out to Pastor Kevin ASAP. Even if you just have some questions and are intrigued, reach out. You can either email pastorkevin@gburgnaz.org or CLICK HERE to fill out the interest form.
  2. Men’s Survey. If you are a man, of any age, please take a couple minutes to fill out the GCN Men’s Survey. This helps us know how to better love and serve one another. CLICK HERE for the survey.
  3. All-church lunch. March 23rd. Following the 10:30am worship service. This is a great day to invite someone to join you. And if you’re relatively new to the GCN family, this is a great time to build some new relationships! Plus, it’s just always good to eat together.
  4. Parent Collective. This is a lunchtime event for all parents of kids, ages 0-18. If that’s you, you won’t want to miss it. March 30 just after the worship service.
  5. Resurrection Sunday @ GCN. April 20th. Who can you invite to join us? An awesome event for kids at 9am, then at 10:30am we’ll celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus in a time of worship. We’ll even celebrate baptisms that morning!
  6. Interested in Baptism? If you are a follower of Jesus but have not yet been baptized, let us know! Easter Sunday (April 20th) is Baptism Sunday at GCN. CLICK HERE and select “I’m interested in baptism” to let us know. Then, one of our pastors will follow up with you.

Much Love,

Pastor Brian
