Weekly Update

GCN Family,
It takes time to get to know someone. Have you taken the time today to know Jesus? His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23). So, we need time with Him each day.
It could be as simple as this: (1) Find just a moment of quiet and pray this prayer: “Come, Holy Spirit. I need you. Fill my life right now.” (2) Open the Bible and spend time reading His Word. I recommend the Daily Bible Reading and Prayer Plan on the GCN Mobile App. (3) End that time by praying a familiar prayer (Psalm 23 or The Lord’s Prayer). Or, make that time as unique as you are.
Draw near to God, and He WILL draw near to you. (James 4:8)
This past Sunday evening, the Mid-Atlantic District Church of the Nazarene honored Pastors Ben and Kelly as they received Retirement Status in the Church of the Nazarene. What a great night! God is good.
A few other things:
Much Love,
Pastor Brian

A few other things:
- Holy Week is next week. I hope you’ll join us for our Good Friday Service on Friday, April 18th at 7pm.
- Easter @ GCN! Who are you inviting to join you for our Easter Sunday Worship Service at 10:30am or the Community Easter Egg Hunt at 9am?
- GCN Connect Lunch. Sunday, April 27th @ 12:00pm. If you are a little newer to GCN (meaning, if you’ve begun to connect more over the past year), we hope you’ll join us for this lunch. It’s an opportunity to connect with one another and with our pastors, and to learn more about GCN and this mission to which God is calling us!
- Loving our Neighbors. Are you interested in learning more about how GCN can assist people in need of immigration help right here in our neighborhood? If so, please email me (pastorbrian@gburgnaz.org). A few of us are in conversation with our church district’s Immigration Connection ministry to learn more about helping with this ever-growing need right here in our own community. This is an opportunity for the church to be the church! But this will take a team. Let me know!
Much Love,
Pastor Brian
