Weekly Update

GCN Family,

This past Sunday, we extended the invitation to start the new year with a fast. Fasting is a posture of consecration. It’s saying, “God, I want to give you more space in my life to fill me and to work.” Fasting produces physical hunger pangs that are translated into spiritual hunger pangs for more of the God’s Presence. There are several types of fasts: The Daniel Fast (fasting meat, dairy, and sugar), or the John Wesley Fast (fasting one day/week; sundown to sundown), or fasting one meal/day for multiple days. I would invite you to observe some type of fasting through the month of January.

Our prayer at the start of 2026: Holy Spirit, where are you at work, and how can we join you? How do you want us to love people in our neighborhood this year?

1. Ruark Family @ GCN. Sunday, January 18th. We have partnered with the Ruarks and Cocal Gracias Ministry for many years. You won’t want to miss this Sunday!
